Random Info: In Durban, if the North Easter has been blowing, be careful of bluebottles.

Durban Surf Spots:

North Beach: Good/Excellent
When North Beach is working, you get some seriously epic waves that deliver some awesome tubes. World class at times. People make quite a scene about how good it is, but in reality, on your average day, the waves aren't that good. Best in a Westerly wind and quite a big swell. Can handle really big waves.

New Pier: Good/Excellent
A lot more consistent then North Beach, and will give you a really enjoyable wave. Also has the ability to produce a world class, hollow wave on its day. Works best in SW winds and low tide.

Addington: Average/Bad
Not all that consistent and often just a mess. Situated in front of uShaka Marine World. Best place for surfers who are just starting out with surfing. SW is offshore here.
